Luffie is an Epic Ground unit in Anime Crusaders that uses Physical damage with a Wind element. Known for its knockback ability, it offers some early-game crowd control but quickly falls behind compared to stronger units. Generally placed in C-Tier, Luffie is most useful for beginners or as a temporary option before unlocking higher-rarity characters.
Strengths & Weaknesses
Strengths:
- Luffie has a knockback effect, meaning it can push back enemies. This gives some crowd-control utility.
- As an Epic Ground Physical unit, Luffie can serve as a filler or early/mid-game damage unit before stronger, rarer units are available.
Weaknesses:
- The knockback effect is said to be weak or “not that effective” compared to other abilities.
- Luffie has relatively high cost vs what it gives in return in later stages of the game, when stronger units are required
- In many tier lists, Luffie is placed in C-Tier. That means it’s somewhat usable, but not among the better or meta units.
Tier & Meta Role
- As of September 2025, Luffie is ranked C-Tier in most tier lists.
- It is mostly considered a unit for earlier progression, or for players who don’t have access to many top-rarity or meta units yet.
- It might be used to fill slots in a team, but it is often replaced as soon as stronger units are obtained.
Tips on Using Luffie
To get the most out of Luffie:
Don’t invest too heavily (in upgrades or resources) if you have access to rarer units, since the return‐on‐investment is lower compared to those.
Use it in early/mid-game stages where cost and availability are important. It’s less useful in later stages or in high-difficulty or “endgame” content.
Pair Luffie with units that can compensate for its weaker aspects (e.g. slow, or lesser damage). For example, combine with high DPS units or units that slow or crowd-control to take advantage of Luffie’s knockback.
